Sketches — brainstorming various details, patterns, and components based on the short's functional needs.
Potential patterns for side panels, and conceptualizing ways to avoid typical side seams.
Initial CADs and layering/functionality of all 6 pockets.
Showing how pockets are layered within the side panel — made to better communicate the design with the pattern developer helping create renderings.
V1 renderings made in collaboration with a pattern developer.
Revision visual showing how the side panels allow pockets to be hidden.
V2 renderings made in collaboration with a pattern developer.
V2 rendering breakdown of the short's layers.
V2 Revision visuals showing the need to remove the pocket stitch from the outside layer and push back the top side panel seam for a 'flap edge' effect.
